Girls' Middle School Club

Note:  Early bird registration ends June 14.  Leagues increase $10 after June 14.

Lacrosse Northwest is forming four girls' middle school club lacrosse teams this summer in the Portland metropolitan area to give rising middle school players the opportunity to improve their skills in the off-season.   In addition to playing on our club teams locally, players will have the option of traveling to a west coast tournament.

Want to play with your teammates/friends?  Players should register for the same team if they want to play together.

Our First Goal: To give middle school girls who are current yotuh players the opportunity to receive instruction from qualified coaches while competing in local games with minimal travel.  These players are those who are striving to move to the next level of play, whether the level is a future school Junior Varsity or Varsity program or select travel team.

Our Second Goal: To give the girls who play on our club teams the opportunity to grow as competitive players where they will be recognized and recruited by our coaching staff to play on a Lacrosse Northwest Travel tournament team.

Details

• Players who join our Summer league have the opportunity to tryout for one of our Summer travel teams.  (See LadyRippers travel team information page for more information).
  
  
• Join one of our two locations to receive 1 1/2 hours of qualified instruction and competitive play per week for eight weeks. Sign up for any team that is still open for registration.
  
  
• Players include school year 2010/2011 sixth, seventh, and eighth grade players.
  
  
• The last 45 minutes of each night will consist of one game against the other team.
    
  
• Lacrosse Northwest will provide officials, time keepers, and score keepers in addition to coaching staff for each competitive game.

• Discount for any STICKWITHIT! clinic July 9, 10, 11

When:  Monday Evenings June 28 - August 10 (See Schedule for times)

Where:   Lakeridge High School

Time Commitment:  1 1/2 hours per week (one evening) for eight weeks.  Players must commit to a minimum of six of the eight weeks.

Cost:  $150.00 for eight weeks ($50 family member discount.  Goalies play for $100.00)

Contact our office regarding scholarship options.  One scholarship per team will be awarded based on a first come first serve basis.

Reversible Jersey Cost:  $15.00* (Players who have a Lacrosse Northwest reversible jersey from a prior league may continue using that jersey)

Equipment:  Players must provide their own equipment including stick, goggles, and mouthguard.  Please, no cleats on the Hillsboro turf field.  Players may wear cleats on the Lincoln and Lakeridge Turf field.  It is always recommended that players bring a water bottle.

How Teams are Formed

• Players will choose their designated home field location.
  
  
• Based on the player's home field location, the player will then choose which team they will play on according to the desired home field location.  Payers may get a group together to sign up for the same team.
  
  
• Teams will be limited to 20 players.
