Early Registration Ends after January 10!  After January 10, the registration fee will increase $10.00.

LaxNW 2009 Pre-Season Indoor is a league running 6 or 8 weeks starting January 16, 2009 at Indoor Goals.

Actual rosters and schedules will be posted on our site after January 14, 2009.  No registration confirmations will be sent, but please contact us if your name does not appear on a roster after January 14.

For the leagues that have enough players registered to create teams by the early registration deadline, we will give top priority to paid registrants.  We will place paid registrants on teams first and those names will be posted on the roster.  Anyone we have not received payment for, will then be placed on a waiting list until we receive payment.

In the event a league is full, we follow a first come, first paid, "first to play" rule.  If we receive payment for someone on the waiting list or if a player registers after the early registration deadline, they will remain on the waiting list until we have a spot available or until we have enough paid members on the waiting list to open another hour of play to create two more teams.

If you do not see your name on a roster prior to league start date, please contact us immediately to arrange payment or to see if you are on a waiting list.

Please see the League Info pages for more specific details and register early!

Instructional Coaching Clinic For Girls Lacrosse

About this program: This program is for those who are interested in coaching girls lacrosse. With such a high demand for coaches, what a great way to become involved and learn from the best in the area.

Participants will learn from highly qualified local youth/high school coaches, referees, and players from the Portland Women's Lacrosse Club team. This is hands on education where participants will learn to coach while playing the game and running girls practices.  Learned items will include coaching basics, rules and skills of the game, proper conditioning, safety, and officiating.

Clinics will be 1.5 - 2 hours weekly for 6 weeks.  Clinic instructors and participants may work together to rearrange a schedule that will accomodate the group.

Each participant must provide their own equipment, however, please contact us to see if we have any used equipment available. Registration for the six week session is $100.00. In the past, students have been able to be reimbursed from their program.  Please ask your program coordinator about their policy regarding continuing education credits.

From one of our participants:

"The coaching clinic was just the ticket for this dad with new lax daughters. Juliet and Sam did a great job.  I learned a ton about rules, tactics, and the spirit of the game.  It was fun to gain a real appreciation for how hard the players work by doing the hands on activities such as passing, catching, cradling, running, shooting, defending, and positional drills as well.  I'm hopeful I'll be able to give more back to lacrosse in the future, either by being a better "club parent" or helping in a more direct way.  Thanks!" Ted Mayhugh - Tigard, OR
