After a highly successful showing at the Space Needle Shootout this past December and a great pre-season boot camp, we are proud to announce the continued growth of our Boys Rippers Experience in partnership with the Portland State University Lacrosse team.
Lacrosse Northwest has partnered with Portland State University's coaching staff to offer club teams to high school boys similar to what Lacrosse NW has successfully been doing with HS girls for the last four years.
Portland State head coach Dave Sanford was excited to continue this program on many different levels. He commented, "There are more kids in Portland playing at the skill level to participate in these tournaments than there have traditionally been opportunities for. Part of the mission of Portland State Lacrosse is to provide the community with learning opportunities and exposure to the sport of lacrosse, to help our program and local programs grow and develop. It is our hope that these programs will see more local players not only coming to play at Portland State, but spreading the name of Oregon lacrosse at all levels of college play."
On the partnership with LaxNW he added, "Lacrosse Northwest has been a leader in competitive and instructional lacrosse opportunities for boys and men in Portland, OR for fifteen years. It is with great pride that our coaching staff is excited to help LaxNW represent Oregon Lacrosse on the club level."

PRACTICES:
Mondays: June 17, 24 and July 15, 22, and 29
Wednesdays: June 19, 26, and July 10, 17, 24, and 31

MS and HS: July 6 and 7: Valhalla Playday - Vancouver, WA
HS: July 12, 13, 14: Adrenaline Elite Shootout (Adrenaline HS Info)
MS: July 26, 27, 28: Adrenaline Shootout (Adrenaline MS Info)
The only all inclusive price in town. No extra fees associated!
MS and HS: Will be playing other games throughout the season. TBD.

We offer the most bang for your buck for what your player takes home at the end of the program. In addition to the swag the boys get, you can rest assured with the knowledge that college coaches, who know what it takes to play at the next level and are capable of providing it, coached them throughout the summer. Our coaches are more than just players who play the game, they know the game with a combined 40 years of coaching experience between them.
2013 Rippers Boys U18 Select Open Tryout
This team is for all HS players (including the senior class of 2013).
TRYOUTS:
Monday, June 10:
7/8 Players: 6:30-8:30pm
Wednesday, June 12:
HS Players: 7:00 - 9:00pm
Both of these nights of tryouts will take place at Horizon Christian School (23370 SW Boones Ferry Rd, Tualatin). There is no cost associated with tryouts, however all participants, if selected for the team, must be registered for one summer league with Lacrosse Northwest. If you have any conflicts with your scheduled tryout time please feel free to contact Rippers Head Coach Dave Sanford (dsanford@pdx.edu) to arrange an alternative tryout.
At tryouts players can expect to be put through basic drills with a focus on proper fundamentals. Opportunities for players to show their skill through scrimmages and structured drills will be plenty, and all players will be evaluated by every coach during the tryout. We are looking to carry between 22 and 25 players with the breakdown being such: 5 Attack, 4 Defense, 2 LSM, 2 Goalies, and between 7 - 9 midfielders.
